Pat Pasleys' home, how could we know, unless I missed email.
Nothing on my weekends in JUNE!!!! Don't know what the 'master plan' of
Brevard is for June, but know the airshows are over.....and the art shows;
Mel Beach has a Founders Day event, which I work at every year for the
turtle races, but I believe thats July. Not sure. The Pasleys would know
that. I could find out, if you want me to. I work with the Morgan project on
that event, and have for years..
I remember the event at the stadium because I was volunteering with AVET
at that event, and also helped judge the patriot art work...or was that
another event??? There are so many events, difficult to remember them all.
Recall AVET was there. So was Danny McKnight. Can't wait to ask him if I
ever see him again how his "Mary Bolin" worked out for him. Bet he'll
NEVER admit she was a horrible commish.
Just know that it would be a real 'relief' to have it moved up to ANY
weekend in June that doesn't conflict with something major. Alice

Subject: RE: [Events] Please read this carefully...
I’m going to apologize in advance for the tone of this email, but I am
beyond frustrated with the thread unfolding here today. With these last posts
from Eric and Alice it is now clear we have some massive
miscommunication/misinformation within this committee.
To wit: EVERY group in the county was invited to participate in this event
from inception. I personally sat at a county wide steering committee
meeting at Pat Pasley’s house a few weeks ago at which this event was discussed
amongst all the county groups. If the other groups didn’t know about it,
how could they be hosting the dessert booth?
Here is a recap of where we are (and have been):
· All of the county groups were invited to participate
· All of the marketing materials and forms are done (and have
been done for almost two weeks)
· The web site registration is set up (and has been for almost
two weeks)
· We have done a walkthrough at the King Center and have a plan
for the floorplan
· WMMB AM was going to begin advertising next Monday
To my knowledge there was nothing left but restaurant and booth sales
along with some minor decorating and entertainment details, and everyone at the
committee meeting week before last had committed to go and sell. Now we’re
back to second guessing the date again. We cannot get this done with half
the committee on one page and half on another.
If you are advocating to postpone, please provide three alternate dates
you would like to postpone to. I will bounce them off the King Center
tomorrow. My preference is June, and the June Saturdays are 6/1, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22
& 6/29. I need your date suggestions before open of business tomorrow so I
can check the dates with the King Center during the day so can have this
sorted before the meeting tomorrow night.
Going forward I’m asking that you please don’t put forth an objection or
criticism unless you have a corresponding suggestion or alternative course
of action. Otherwise this is all just one big bitch-fest and nothing
constructive gets done.
For those who don’t know, I organized the July 4th 2009 Tea Party that
drew almost 4,000 people to the Stadium with two other people in less time
and with less fuss than this. It’s not rocket science, people. Plan the work
and work the plan!
In liberty,

Perhaps he thinks that waiting until we get 'ground work' done, would be
time to invite them.....but trouble is, seems that our comm. has not done
its job yet, and I include myself among them. I've contacted 2
restaurants....not heard back, and have been too busy working with the gov's office;
Pam Bondi's;Jennifer Carrolls office; Posey's, etc. plus keeping up with
other responsibilities to do more right now. I feel totally overwhelmed
with what I've got on my plate. Sorry.
Just don't want this to bomb out. It has such great potential.
Am working with the Mel. Art Fest, which will be held on April 27 and
28.....so I know there are always conflicts....its just that on 4-20, there are
MAJOR conflicts, which MANY of the patriots from Brevard would want to be
a part of. And this is a one day deal. Thats all I can say right
now on this.

Ladies,
I would also like to add that if we were to include all of the "liberty
minded groups" in Brevard, it might yield greater success and an easier
time planning. I have observed over the last month, that most of the Tea
Party faithful are also members of the Titusville Patriots, Brevard 912, RLC,
ACT! for America, etc. Not only should we push back the date, but include
all that would support the event.
We've got to come together.
Eric

I suggested moving this event forward two mtgs ago on our conference call
and many seemed to agree and I thought it was set. But then the last mtg
at Denny's apparently there was a vote with whomever was there and they
wanted to keep it the same.
I don't think it's realized at how much we have to get done including
advertising for a month. We can't advertise until we have many of the
restaurants committed so that we can include some of the names as to who will be
supplying some of the samples.
For those who agree, can you please reply and let's have some discussion
on it.

I totally agree, Robin! I'm sure AVET would appreciate it too, as their

We definitely need to get a WHOLE lot more accomplished on this than we
have now. This just does NOT seem like a good time and hasn't since its
inception!
Freedom Works is also planning an event in April for Orlando...and guess
what date they chose??? yep, April 20th.
I put the kabosh on it, and haven't heard a word back yet.
Just not enough time to do it justice. Alice Kreitz

Wanted to add to my earlier email of suggesting moving it to June or sep
if u want to avoid jul and aug. nothing is pressing us to do this in such a
short time.
Remember this is our coming out party and it has to be a success!

Alice, I strongly agree with moving the event but we should do it a month
more later. My husband has been involved with planning events like this and
he said we should have everything all done by now. We're not even close.
Would we rather risk not having a successful event w low attendance and
poor, last minute planning because we don't want to push it forward or do we
want to guarantee a successful event w lots of attendance and a good
coordinated event by moving the date forward??
Vacations should not be a reason to move this forward.
My three cents (Inflation) ;-)

I asked Liberty Counsel and Matt Staver's office for this info again, for
some of you who would be interested in hearing some of the fantastic
speakers who will be highlighted in this Event. I just DO NOT understand why
it is soooooooooo difficult to move the tea party event up a week or so.
There are absolutely TOOOOOOOOOO MANY things happening on the SAME day of
April 20.
This event in Oviedo should be vitally important to every 'tea party'
person in Brevard Co. Its actually not that far from us! And its very
reasonable to attend! To me, it is more important than the one day airshow
being held that day, that I am also supposed to work at.
I'm sorry I will miss the meeting on Wed. due to a conflict with the
pageant, but I just don't know why it would be so difficult to move the date up
a little. Matt, have you tried at all???? I'd be happy to speak to my
friends at the King Center to see what can be arranged.
BTW, there is a live link on the site to connect with hotels in area, if
you wish to spend night there. Thank you, Alice K.
