I hope you all will look at the attachments and read the facts about this great and worthy organization!

Why is Feinstein, a Jew, supporting a Catholic charity? Seems odd in itself.  Just curious.

Alice thanks for the cheer leading for AVET Project :)

Recently our AVET Project counselor has been talking with some troops who have returned from WAR and having a hard time, so we are organizing Retreat for these warriors, plus we have Care Packages ready to ship out to our troops, to help lift their spirits.

Did you know ....Troops Suicide is now 22 a day for our returning warriors.  Never before has our military asked so much from our warriors.

March 25 the National Guard 715th MP Co. will be deploying for the 3rd time on a one year deployment.

AVET Project does not take any Federal Grants and nobody receives a pay check.

Appreciate any help for our Military family who give us the FREEDOM to make these choices :)

Check out
our AVET Project, Inc. FB page and see some of the warriors we have and are working with.
Marty Gonzalez was just on the Military Channel, PBS, and Soldier Hard on MSNBC (again, I keep sending info to FOX), NPR, CNN, and our local 920th/308th we work with will be on the National Geographic tonight.

ttyl

There is no reason we couldn't offer them a booth or suggest that people bring a food item to donate to the hungry....and that would still offer a one line mention in the press releases, etc.    But my vote still goes whole heartedly for the Avets organization, because for the 'local' benefit of appealing to the vast 'military' living in our county.

We, as Brevardians, keep the Daily Bread and other such places well funded, through grants and subsidies from various churches.    I know my own Church supports them monetarily, along with other homeless programs.

You are aware, I"m sure, that MANY strong, young, able bodies are being fed and housed during the winter months while they are surfing and basking in sun....and receiving their unemployment checks to their northern addresses, because they happen to work in construction or other fields which comes to a halt during winter months in places like MN, Mich, Conn., N.Hamp., N.Y., etc.etc.

I live behind Ascension and see the cars in the pkg.lot day and night.    I know they have PLENTY MORE PEOPLE THAN OUR LITTLE TEA PARTY GROUP TO APPEAL TO.

MY VOTE AND THE ONLY LOGICAL VOTE IS FOR THE localVETS!

But I admire your 'conviction'.   We all have churches, and some wealthy someone who needs a tax write off.  My church sends $$$$$ all the time to Haiti and Africa, because my minister was raised in Africa by parent missionaries.....and its a bottomless hole.

Good evening everyone,

Let me throw a dark horse into the charity race.  This came from the Ascension Catholic Church bulletin this morning:

Alan Shawn Feinstein, for 15 years, has been giving away $1 million each year to anti-hunger agencies throughout the country. This year becomes the 16th annual fundraising event. Any donations you send to Social Concerns during March 1st to April 30th will get Feinstein money from Rhode Island added to it.  And the more of a donation you send in, the more of the Feinstein $1 million we will get, thanks to you!  This is amazing!  Your donation toward this campaign make you partners in the most successful ongoing effort ever to fight hunger!!! We thank Mr. Feinstein for his generous heart and his determination to stop hunger!  To expand on donations from the community ... if you know of any school, community or ORGANIZATION that would like to join in to help us with this challenge, it's simple: they can start a food collection and drop it off at our pantry during March and April.  We can report each food item donated as $1 per item or per pound!
Donations can include CASH, CHECKS, and FOOD ITEMS. It's that easy!

In short, we offer a booth to the pantry at the Taste of Freedom.  If they accept, they can collect the food cans on site.  If they do not accept the booth, we can deliver the cans for a great photo op and good press release.  Donations can be made by check to the pantry, which to my knowledge is a 501 3c, so we never have to touch the money, or we can right one big check afterwards.

I can see the headlines now, "TEA Party's 'Taste of Freedom' feeds the hungry" as we partner with a key organization in the fight against ObamaCare.  Not only is money collected, but food is collected for the local pantry, as well as, a donation is given to the pantry by Mr. Feinstein.

AVET would be my first pick because it would help out soldiers and veterans, like myself.  However, there are huge political points to be won, locally and nationally, if we can raise a lot of donations for our local pantries.  I volunteer to spearhead the coordination between the pantry and our group, if this charity is selected.
